Brendan Greene, known by his call tag PlayerUnknown, created the “Battle Royale” concept as a mode for Arma 2 and 3, before going on to license it to Sony Online Entertainment for use in H1Z1. Afterwards, he became the Creative Director at Bluehole Studio, the developer of PUBG and fantasy RPG, Tera.
